The Contracts Manager Associate will support CH-53K platform with primary focus on CH-53K Supportability activities including contract administration, proposal development, and negotiation. This is an entry level position, training in all areas outlined below will be provided. A strong work ethic, the willingness to learn and grow, ability to foster relationships in a collaborative environment, and desire to meet and overcome challenges will be the key to success in this role.

Associate will provide support to 53K Contract lead in reviewing and evaluating customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts and IWTAs; providing risk assessments and exploring alternative approaches to mitigate risks, including contractual language; and reviewing and reconciling significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc.

May require travel. Job may require additional duties that may or may not be outside specific area of expertise.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Supporting Contract lead in all activities to support program financial and strategic goals
• Preparing contracts work product such as proposals, contracts, terms and conditions, and modification documents
• Ensuring that contracts are negotiated and administered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Lockheed Martin policies and procedures
• Reviewing and evaluating customer requests for proposal and revisions to contracts
• Developing and executing negotiation strategies
• Preparing and presenting briefings to management and customers
• Developing productive working relationships with internal and external customers

Additionally, the candidate must maintain a high standard of ethics. Understand and implement Lockheed Martin corporate and local policies and procedures. Candidate should be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision and has the ability to comprehend complex financial and business concepts and suggest viable alternatives during negotiation. Should be able to handle multiple assignments and achieve program goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidate will be required to become familiar with the unique program requirements in minimal time.

Candidate should possess computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with ability to grasp other software applications required to perform job duties; have excellent written and oral communication skills; should be detail and teamwork oriented with excellent organizational and prioritization skills; and possess strong interpersonal skills. Develops and maintains good working relationships with customers, integrated program team members, and industry peers.
